Romanticism

I designed this dress inspired by the color palette and contrast of Romantic paintings.

I chose a neutral color palette and fabrics that, while relatively simple, played with the light in a way that reflected how it is portrayed in the paintings of the Romantic period.

While making the dress I draped the pattern on the form and later adjusted it to fit my own measurements.

Through out the photoshoot I aimed to recreate the dramatic and ethereal lighting of the art and well as their storytelling dynamic.
