I’m Natalia Diaz Castillo, a Fashion Design Student at the Savannah College of Art and Design. As a Cuban-born artist, my work is heavily inspired by my culture through my use of color and vibrancy of my designs. However, what draws me most to the world of fashion is the opportunity it gives me to visually represent the world of today as well as it’s history. When developing a collection, I always connect my research to an aspect of history and culture and challenge myself to push it to the point where it’s both meaningful and, most crucially, wearable.
